Got Conan the Barbarian,Tropa de Elite a.k.a Elite Squad and The Loved Ones on Blu-Ray. I also ordered Dragon Eyes via Amazon.

Bought 99 and 44/100% Dead on DVD (it comes with another movie called The Nickel Ride), a hitman comedy that will hopefully put Richard Harris over 100 kills. Also got the two Rolling Stones greatest hits CDs (Hot Rocks and Jump Back).

Sunavabitch, I just bought that one too for the exact same reason, though not with the additional movie.

Finally got in the mail one of my favorite movies ever, A Bittersweet Life. Very happy to finally have it in my collection and on bluray.

I'm not sure if everyone else is being terrible at answering that radio contest or if I'm just really lucky, but this past Sunday I was listening to it while I ate breakfast and they had another contest. This time you had to listen to a medley of three songs and then use the first letter of each song title to create the solution word (last time it was just answering the question "What sci-fi did Ridley Scott make in 1982?", yup, seriously). I recognised the songs and figured "heck, I won last time I tried, why not try again?", so I sent in the answer, but figured that chance of going 2-for-2 would be slim to none and turned the radio off once I ran out of coffee. But was I ever wrong, because in the mail today I got the complete Back to the Future trilogy on DVD as my prize.

Good on you, man. I've only ever won one radio contest and it was for shit I didn't even want.

I corrected an old mistake and bought a couple of VHS tapes.



Bronx Executioner's cover looks beautiful, like it was printed yesterday. Cross Mission on the other hand represents the used VHS purchasers worst nightmare; the box cut to fit a clam cover

Both tapes are in good shape though, also got Urban Warriors coming, but could find a seller who would ship Bridge to Hell outside of the US

Got my Outlaw Brothers after Phil rekindled my love for Yukari Oshima, very happy that I managed to score a HKL release, kind of disappointed that it turned put to be a promotional release that had come free with a magazine at some point. Came with a bland cover with just a picture of Frankie Chan on it, a generic menu, HKL menus are usually great, just featuring a collage of other, better known, HKL releases, and no bonus features at all. Still it was remastered, came with the original language track, still factory sealed, and best of all; cheap. HKL releases can go for as much as £100 nowadays depending on the title.
