We won’t see shit, but we’ll get the impression of the fight scene and everyone’s happy. Well, I don’t think so. I’m not a big fan of the way they film action in the Bourne films, or The Dark Knight for that matter."

No surprise there. They'll capitalise on Expendables 2 and give it a limited release and then probably release it on DVD in the same week Expendables 2 comes out a month later.

Hopefully accompanied by the actual release of Eagle Path.

That all sounds nice. But that photo of him holding an RPG while getting cover fire from a guy from Stargate: Atlantis is even more awesome. 8-)

Friendly fire is tolerated in action movies as well. 8-)

So I finally found out why this has yet to be released, it is over 3 years since it was announced, 2 and half since the trailer arrived, a year ago Rant put it on his "Top Ten 2010 Films, That For Some Dumbass Reason Weren’t Widely Released In 2010–That I’m Looking Forward To Seeing"-list a year ago, and today JC finally tells us what is up with the fucking wait.

JCVD wrote:
The Eagle Path took longer than what I have expected but that is because I did some recent re-shooting with more ACTION scenes! The movie is going to be re-titled to "SOLDIERS".
Thank you for your patience...Soon, wait for its huge première! — JCVD

So it gets another new title and apparently the negative feedback from its festival release resulted in new action scenes being shot, hopefully it doesn't result in a complete clusterfuck.
