I can't believe you didn't put Sven in Hard Target on the list, or anything from Hard Target really.

I started there, actually. But then I kept working my way backwards with Woo. I kinda wanted to start "small."

The Top Overkills video hasn't been added the Kain's List page yet.

A little disappointed by your Top 5, just because it was exactly the 5 films I suspected it would be and I guess I was hoping for you to reveal some hidden masterpiece to me.

I guess my favourite action movie of the year, excluding category fraud, would be Star Trek Beyond. I thought it was blast and the first proper (or good) Trek film since Undiscovered Country.

I wanted there to be a surprise as well. And maybe it did surprise me a bit, seeing as I rarely lean toward anything that isn't rated R. But this was maybe a more traditional year for the genre. Although I hear Kill Zone 2 was excellent, but I missed seeing that one.

I've been failing to watch Kill Zone 2 for a while now too. Hear great things. It was on a plane I took, but I didn't want to watch it on the tiny screen.

Glad to see Rogue One was ranked as the best action film of 2016. Anyway, my list of the best action flicks of 2016 would look like this:

1. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
2. Hacksaw Ridge
3. The Magnificent Seven remake
4. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
5. The Siege of Jadotville

Yeah, I haven't seen many films from this year (I mean, last year) yet, so this isn't exactly a definitive list.

I watched Kill Zone 2 a few months ago, and I wasn't very impressed by it. I don't think it a was a bad movie but it wasn't a patch on the original.

It's been recommended to me enough that it's definitely next on my To-Watch list.

I've not even heard of The Siege of Jadotville, so I'll have to look into that.

It's quite a good movie, based around the true story of a group of Irish United Nations troops besieged at their remote outpost by Katangan rebels (who're backed by Western mercenaries) in 1961 Congo. Think Zulu or The Siege of Firebase Gloria (except not quite as good as those two flicks). I could be wrong, but I think it might only be available on Netflix at the moment.

Also, the top 5 action movies of 2016 video hasn't been added to the Kain's Lists page yet.
