That sounds like a fun character, and I could totally see Austin playing that role up.

I think Austin would be 110% wrong for that part for 2 reasons: 1) He's not an actor, that sounds like a part that could need some acting. 2) How many reclusive, paranoid, conspiracy theory freaks are built like professional wrestlers? Austin doesn't fit that character at all.

Actually, Austin and Ventura had very similar personas, so it's not too much of a stretch. And it's an Action movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is not going to be about acting so much as just being awesome.

I thought Sly got a surprisingly solid performance out of Austin in Expendables but the rest of his movies you're right are lacking in the acting field.

Overall, I can handle non-actors as long as the movie seems to accept that as well as oppose to giving them serious material that they can't muster but I doubt that's the case here. Anyway, is this coming out next year?

Actually, I heard a January '13 release was in order, which sounds ridiculous. I hope it gets moved up.

Its also a Jee-woon Kim film, those tend to be well acted and cast. Austin in a role like he had in The Expendables with limited character works, but this character sounds interesting and has character so I'd really like to see an actor in the role. If Shawn Michaels had played Bill Paxton's role in True Lies would it have been the same?

Now I hope they get Bill Paxton.
