Marvel has announced that they are planning on making another reboot of the franchise. Hopefully they will get it right this time. Maybe it will work the fourth time?

Well, I kind of liked Punisher: War Zone, and I was just hoping for a sequel to that. Still, Marvel themselves know the character better, so it's sure to be more accurate to the source material at least. Hopefully they don't wimp out and make it PG-13 though. That would suck.

I didnt like War Zone much. The villians were to over-the-top and there were some crappy effects. The final action scene was pretty cool though. I liked the 1989 version because i found it to be entertaining, but none of the movies have done a good version of The Punisher. And i dont think they will make it PG-13. I personally love Garth Ennis Punisher comics the best, and i hope they let him work on the movie. Or they could do a movie version of the Franken-Castle arc.

I love the entire franchise, but I think the next movie will be an animated movie. Marvel is doing this for character like HULK or Wonder Woman.
It will be better if it is in that way

I am not really hoping for an animated movie. Although it would be cool if they made a Punisher tv-series that was animated, or not.

I'm Sorta Glad That Their Rebooting it cause Warzone Was A Failure Although I Really Liked It But It Was Panned. They Should Put Him In New York Fighting Someone else besides the mob this time and have no backstory because we already know who he is.

I love the character but I don't think they've got it right on screen yet. (Although I enjoyed all 3 movies to varying degrees)

If they're going to do another, I'd love to see them stick as close as possible to the version from the Punisher Max series. The Barracuda parts especially.

I am more hoping that they use some of the plot from the first couple of arcs in the Max series. All of them are great. Best was probably the Slavers arc.

I really like each Punisher movie, but they all have their flaws that can really hold them back. My favorite is definitely the Dolph Lundgren 'Punisher', but the main issue is that it's not much like the comics at all except for the general background of Frank Castle. I really enjoyed the 2004 'Punisher' (saw it in theaters), despite that the death of Travolta with the exploding cars making out the skull was REALLY cheesey and the final shootout was just too short. Nevertheless, the action and closeness to the comic was what made 'War Zone' so entertaining; I gotta say though that Lexi Alexander isn't a very good director and, while is it very fun to watch, the final shootout doesn't really have much of a flow to it. That and some of the acting+dialogue was weak.

With any luck, Marvel can do some real justice to this new adaptation and not leave anything out. Maybe follow the original storyline of him breaking out of prison and such.

I agree with you. None have really been to close to the comics. Just dont like how they try to humanize him so much. And i hated the entire sub-plot in War Zone whit the accidental killing of the undercover agent and his family. And the bad guys in it were awful.
