More of a gunner than a fighter, but he could do some nasty fatalities.

I’m not a big fan of the way they film action in the Bourne films, or The Dark Knight for that matter."

Just played the first 5 chapters and the game is pretty amazing. Rockstar outdid themselves again in terms of gameplay, the firefights are among the best and most cinematic I have ever seen in a game and not one encounter feels trite. The story is a pretty generic Man on Fire style plot, but it´s well executed and I´m just glad that they got Max´s characterization dead-on including the awesomely cheesy narration.

I liked the story and narration more in this one than the other two. Seemed less hokey to me.

I guess the hokier aspects of the first 2 games come from the fact that they sort of parody neo-noir action flicks, while also telling a straight neo-noir action story. Sort of self-deprecating humour. I´ve just finished part 3 and the story gets much better as the game goes on. I love the twist that you have played right into the enemies hands by acting like a stereotypical action hero. As much as I love the first to games, I have to say that Max Payne 3 is the best by far.

Oh definitely. Max Payne 3 is several measures better than the last two. I liked those games fine enough, but this one's got it going on in spades. They totally could have made it a bit more open, though. Would love it if they give it some nice DLC episodes. Not much of a fan of that kind of multiplayer.

Just beat it. It was ridiculously hard at some points. But worth it. It's like Tony Scott made Die Hard 4.

Still haven't got it. To be honest, I've mostly given up on buying games when they're released these days, the amount of money you can save by just waiting a month or two is ridiculous. But I might have to break that rule for Max.

I'd probably send it to you if it weren't for region coding.

That's basically sold it then. Might have to go get it this weekend.
