The following list is a series of movies from Hong Kong cinema, many which may or may not be famous, but... with their original titles translated into what they literally meant in the first place... First, thank you again for doing this thread--it's AWESOME. Love it. That said, here are a handful of titles I'd love to know the titles for... I set them up in the format above, but I could only use the Original Titles that IMDb had, so if they're not the Mandarin--I apologize and feel free to change them. Also, once done, let's just keep adding them up top in alphabetical order (if you don't feel like doing that last part--I totally understand, and I can take care of it, just let me know, I'll understand since you're already doing me a favor just translating) Thanks again, man.

Bullet In The Head (1990) - Die xue jie tou -
First Strike (1996) - Ging chaat goo si 4: Ji gaan daan yam mo
Gorgeous (1999) - Boh lee chun -
Hero (2002) - Ying xiong -
Heroes Shed No Tears (1986) - Ying xiong wu lei -
House Of Flying Daggers (2004) - Shi mian mai fu -
Just Heroes (1989) - Yi dan qun ying -
Lethal Lady / She Shoots Straight (1990) - Huang jia nu jiang -
Magnificent Warriors (1987) - Zhong hua zhan shi -
Mr. Nice Guy (1997) - Yat goh hiu yan -
New Police Story (2004) - Xin jing cha gu shi -
On The Run (1988) - Mong ming yuen yeung -
Operation Condor (1991) - Fei ying gai wak -
Operation Condor 2: The Armour Of The Gods (1987) - Long xiong hu di -
Police Story (1985) - Ging chat goo si -
Police Story II (1988) - Ging chaat goo si juk jaap -
Rumble In The Bronx (1995) - Hung fan kui -
Supercop (1992) - Ging chat goo si 3: Chiu kup ging chat -
The Club (1981) - Wu ting -
The Legend Of Drunken Master (1994) - Jui kuen II -
The Outlaw Brothers (1990) - Zui jia zei pai dang -

Also -- The Warlords (2007) - Tou ming zhuang - Name-submitting Certificate -- Seriously? That's what the title means!?

That'll be Donnie Yen's Ballistic Kiss, I don't know why the original Mandarin title is like that, there is a chick in that movie but she didn't really dance that much (esp. with Donnie)...

*deep breath* alright Rant, every request/suggestion has been added. Plus a few "additions" of my own. And

Yes, thats what it means. "Zhuang" means a cert, or form, it probably refers to the list when Jet Li, Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro fills up when enrolling for the army. At least thats the best I can come up with

Great work. Although i can see why they changed the names in most of them, unlike here where some movies here that have been translated very poorly or been changed for some reason. For Aliens they felt like they had to add Återkomsten (The Return) as a subtitle. Above the Law was changed into Nico. Death Wish was apparently changed into Våldets Fiende Nr. 1 (Violence´s Enemy Nr. 1). Luckily they mostly use the original name nowadays and translations are usually less stupid.

This is seriously a great thread. Some of those translations just come out so weird in English. Kill Some People, Dance Some Dance is now one of my favorite movie titles of all time.

Got a lot of the same stuff in Norway (and Denmark also, its a Scandinavian thing), in Norway Death Wish is called Merciless Town, but I think Denmark wins with A Man Sees Red.
