There's a blood squib in the 1968 film Vengeance, when Richard Harrison notices a guy sneaking up on him, so he shoots him with his own custom sawed off shotgun, blasting his chest, with about 7 or 8 squibs.

Thanks for the contribution (added it to the first post), Farmer_J. I love this kind of stuff.

It turns out that Jack Nicholson was an early squib recipient in Back Door to Hell.

It's interesting to note that each of the films in Andrzej Wajda's World War II trilogy (consisting of A Generation [1955], Kanal [1957], and Ashes and Diamonds [1958]) contain at least one body squib. Not bad for a 1950s movie trilogy.

Blood, or bloodless? I've heard of the first film containing a squib, but I never heard of the others having one. Will have to check them out!

It's kinda hard to tell for sure if they're blood or bloodless, due to the fact that they're in black-and-white, but I'm fairly sure each film has at least one blood squib. More details on them are in the original post in this thread. I would certainly recommend Kanal. A Generation isn't bad either, but Ashes and Diamonds largely left me cold (although all of them are very well-made).

There's quite a few squibs in Massacre Gun (1967) especially in the finale when Jo uses his scoped rifle and when his brother is mowed down by yakuza goons.

Found a non-blood body squib dating back to 1939 in Gunga Din. It appears when Cary Grant gets shot in the leg after the Guru dives into the snake pit.

When I'm pretty sure a squib wasn't used, there's a notably bloody headshot in Shenandoah (1965) on a Confederate soldier during the last battle scene.
