In Ghost Rider, should the mugger that the Rider gives the penance stare should count as a kill?

If someone is shot in the head in a flashback and is not seen before but blood splatters onto the person next to them, should it still count?

Yeah if the implication is very high

In Shaun of the Dead, when they show three different imaginations of Phil being killed by Shaun and Ed, should that count as three different deaths?

Not necessarily, the penance stare is not deadly by design and only sometimes cause people to die.

I abandoned a killcount video for this movie because I couldn't in good conscious include those kills. Because it doesn't show three different versions of killing Phil, it shows the same version 3 times, and for me that's moving into Equilibrium territory.

Ok thanks. I looked at the film's FAQ section on imdb and it casts some doubt on whether the penance stare killed Blackheart, or just destroyed the thousand souls inhabiting him, so should I count that?

I think considering the amount of souls that it would be fair to assume that Blackheart might have been killed by it.
